Pastor Joe Thorn is a pastor who a friend introduced me to (virtually). He writes very interesting articles, and has a unique view of the world. I enjoy reading his content. Recently, he and another pastor (Steve McCoy) began a new blog called sub-text. Here is a great new look at how we as christians can view the arts.
In order to keeps those you love close, talk to them. Write them and tell them how much they mean to you. Call them and ask them how they are doing. No matter how we may feel, we should make time for others we love.

I guess I am just realizing how fast he has reached his second year. I shed a tear on Heather’s shoulder the other night. I don’t want our babies to grow up. They are so precious to us and I worry they will grow up and hate us. I don’t know if that is because it’s what I have seen from other siblings and how they treat my parents or if that’s what every parent fears.
In any case, he is 2 now. He is definitely 2. I feel so blessed to have my wife at my side and my children in front of me. I owe the Lord my life for everything He has given my family. I am on a path to make that happen. I think it will take the rest of what I owe before it actually happens. Thank You Father. Thank You.

Yep! It’s time to get into shape again. I am looking at using a workout program called P90X. I will keep you updated on how it’s going. I have to get it first…that would probably the first step.

I’ve been looking for a good scripture memory system lately. Garry Freisen’s Book, “Decision Making and the Will of God“, has a system in the back of it that I may modify or simply use as is. I can’t decide yet. If anyone knows of a scripture memory system they have heard of or used I would love to hear about it.

Pray for my family and I. I am mowing the yard today. After reading these statistics, I am not sure I will make it out alive.
“Although smaller in size than most farm equipment the potential for injury is still present. The moving blades and operating engine make lawn mowers dangerous items if not used cautiously and with respect. Objects thrown from a mower discharge chute can travel at 200 miles per hour. In 1997, data from the U.S. Consumer Product Commission showed that over 60,000 operators and bystanders required emergency room treatment for mower-related injuries. Annually, approximately 75 fatalities and 20,000 injuries were caused by riding mowers alone. Statistics also show that one out of every five deaths involve children.”
